Elli Cohen, a director of the Blyth 14/19 Campaign appeared before North Huron Council where he won unanimous support for a bid to move forward with a Rural Economic Development grant through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. 14/19 is seeking $1,000,000 to further their project of establishing in Huron, a vibrant and sustainable arts community and education centre.

A part of the 14/19 camping has focused on the redevelopment and renewal of the Blyth Memorial Hall; one of Canada's only living Cenotaphs and home of the Blyth Festival and Blyth Centre for the Arts.
