On June 21, 2017, the Huron Women's Shelter Second Stage Housing and Counselling Services, Board of Directors and The Ross Firm will be hosting the Taking a Swing Against Violence golf tournament at the Goderich Sunset Golf Course.

We invite you to take a swing against violence by sponsoring a hole or two for just $100 each! All hole sponsors will be recognized with an individual sign on the course, featured on Facebook, websites, as well as being mentioned to the 80 golfers on the course that day.

If you are not interested in sponsoring a we hope you will put a team together and come play.

We hope that you will support our efforts to provide safe and affordable housing, counselling and support to women and children throughout Huron County through the sponsorship of a hole for this wonderful tournament.

Taking a Swing Against Domestic Violence

Jenn McMillan and the women of The Ross Firm Professional Corporation participated for the 5th year in the annual charity golf tournament to raise funds for the Women’s Shelter which serves Huron County. The shelter provides essential services for women and children in crisis, to get back on their feet and establish housing, and to assist with necessities when starting over; counselling is also available throughout the county and in schools for children. This fundraiser allows the shelter to provide for the most vulnerable women and children in our community. We also donate household supplies and personal items each year which are essential to help families get started over when often they have to leave everything behind.

We are thrilled to share the news that the first Syrian family will arrive in Goderich February 21, 2016.They will be leaving Beirut on Friday and arriving in Montreal, where they will go through all the immigration and citizenship processing. On Sunday, they will leave Montreal after two nights in a hotel to fly into the Toronto. We will have a team ready and waiting at the airport to welcome them and bring them home to Goderich.
